Jordan Lovinger

Jordan Lovinger singing with guitar

Professional guitarist, bassist, vocalist, and singer-songwriter based in Colorado. I've performed at Dazzle, Cervantes, 9:30 Club, and Black Cat — and with bands like Chick Magnet (Chick Corea tribute), Phooey (6-piece psychedelic funk), and Blackhole Boogie Band (jazz fusion, signed with PS Audio).

I studied six-string bass under John Ferrera and am known as one of Colorado's prominent slap bassists. I bring real-world performance experience into every lesson — you'll learn what actually works on stage and in sessions.

I also host the weekly Sunday jam at Goosetown Tavern, where students often come to practice performing in a supportive environment. Thumbtack Top Pro Colorado 2025 with a 5.0 rating.

What Students Say

Working with Jordan absolutely enhanced my abilities as a player. He is responsive, motivated, and curious. He takes the time to get to know his students and develop a plan that works best for them as individuals.

David G. Guitar · Feb 2025

I have played guitar and a little bass for decades. Yet I have been astounded by how much I've learned. Jordan is a jazz, funk and blues master who expanded my boundaries way beyond my expectations.

Ron K. Bass · Nov 2025 · Verified

Jordan is a fantastic guitar and music teacher. I never would have imagined that I could progress as quickly as I have in a short few months. He makes music theory easy to understand, and most importantly, he makes me want to pick up my guitar every single day.

Anthony D. Guitar · Oct 2024

Have worked with Jordan for over a year. Does a great job of helping with goals you want to work towards and figuring out how to get you there. Helps teach songs that you want to learn, styles that you want to integrate.
